Industrial Intelligence and Big Data Technology

As a cutting-edge field closely integrating big data technology, next-generation artificial intelligence technology, and advanced industrial technologies, industrial intelligence and big data technologies enable industrial systems to autonomously “sense-analyze-decide-execute.” Through continuous learning from vast amounts of data about the complex evolution patterns and knowledge experiences of these systems, they equip industrial systems with the capabilities of self-learning, self-optimization, self-decision-making, and self-regulation. With the evolution of research paradigms in data science, the foundational theories, methods, and pathways for industrial system intelligence are undergoing profound changes. Industrial intelligence and big data have gradually become current research hotspots, resulting in a series of research outcomes. This seminar focuses on the application of artificial intelligence, big data, and industrial internet technologies in industrial practice, aiming to provide professional references for scientific research and enterprise production practices, promote the deep transformation of manufacturing from automation to autonomy, and facilitate sharing, communication, and cooperation between scholars and enterprises.

Biography: Tangbin Xia, Professor and Vice Dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. Young Chang Jiang Scholar of the Ministry of Education. Deputy Secretary General of The Shanghai Society for Modern Design Theory and Methodology Research, The Review Expert for the Government Quality Award of Shanghai Municipality. Member of the Youth Work Committee of the Chinese Society of Management Science and Engineering, Member of the Industrial Big Data and Intelligent Systems Branch of the Chinese Society of Mechanical Engineering, and Member of the Management Technology Branch of the Innovation Methods Research Association.

Liang Yang
Hunan University, China

Biography: Liang Yang, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor of Hunan University. He received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou, China, in 2006.
His current research interest includes the performance analysis of wireless communication systems. He has published more than 110 papers in IEEE journals, such as IEEE-JSAC, IEEE-TCOM, IEEE-TVT, IEEE-TWC, IEEE-TIFS, etc., and his H-index in Google and ResearchGate is 40, He has been selected as one of the top 2% top scientists by Stanford for 4 consecutive years, and one of the “Highly Cited Scholars in China” by Elsevier in 2023. He has presided over 5 projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), 1 project of National Key Research and Development Program of China (NKRDP), and participated in 1 key project of Regional Innovation Development Joint Fund of NSFC (project leader). He also serves as editorial board member of several international journals.

Shaohua Luo
Guizhou University

Biography: Shaohua Luo, Professor of Mechanical Engineering College of Guizhou University, tutor of doctoral students and tutor of master students, outstanding young scientific and technological talents of Guizhou Province, leader of key projects of ESI potential discipline promotion plan of Guizhou University, distinguished expert of "Enterprise Innovation Post" of Guizhou University, and academic leader of Guizhou University. In recent years, he has presided over the research projects of National Natural Science Foundation, Provincial Natural Science Foundation and China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, and participated in the research work of National "863 Plan" and National Natural Science Foundation. He has made some theoretical and applied achievements in key scientific technologies such as intelligent manufacturing, autonomous intelligent systems, high-performance electromechanical drive systems and equipment, published more than 50 scientific research papers in authoritative academic journals at home and abroad, authorized more than 20 invention patents (including 1 American invention patent and 3 British invention patents), transformed 2 patents, won the second prize of Excellence Fund, and has more than 4 years of experience as a state-owned enterprise and foreign-funded engineer.

Yaping Li
Associate Professor, Director of the Department of Management Science and Engineering, School of Economics and Management, Nanjing Forestry University, China. Outstanding young backbone teacher of “Blue Project” in Jiangsu Province.

Biography:Yaping Li, PhD from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, postdoctoral fellow at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, visiting scholar at Politecnico di Milano. Her research interests include reliability modelling, maintenance decision-making and production management. She has presided over 1 general program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and has presided over 5 provincial and ministerial level projects. She has published more than 40 papers in Chinese and English journals, including Reliability Engineering and System Safety, Computers in Industry, Quality and Reliability Engineering International, Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part O: Journal of risk and reliability, Journal of Grey System, etc.

Fang Wang
Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology

Biography: Fang Wang, Ph.D. Candidate, State Key Laboratory Transducer Technology, Shanghai Institute of Microsystems and Information Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. His research interests focus on artificial intelligence algorithm and control decision-making systems for smart manufacturing and smart sensors. He has published more than 10 SCI/EI papers in IEEE Sensors Journal, IEEE MEMS, TRANSDUCERS, IEEE EMBC and other journals and international conferences. He has participated in major projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, key research and development projects, and projects of the University of Pennsylvania on Al chips and brain-computer interfaces, etc. He has been invited as a reviewer for SCI/EI journals, such as Computers and Electrical Engineering, ICIEIS 2024, MEAAC 2023, etc. He was awarded the 2023 Scholarship for Director of Chinese Academy of Sciences, IEEE EMBC 2024 NextGen Scholar Award, and 2024 China Computer Federation (CCF) YEF Doctoral Academic Award.
